Welcome to Holwell Village, Dorset

Our village hall is located on Fosters Hill at the eastern end of the village,
it has ample parking and there is a grassed area adjacent that can be used.

The hall, which was secondhand in 1924, is coming to the end of its viable life. To this end we are currently raising funds for a replacement. This will be a modern and efficient hall which will meet the needs of our growing community. Hopefully it will also make it a more desirable place to welcome the local groups that regularly use it and encourage more use as a function venue.

Following on from the success of the Jubilee Party

Due to the enforced replacement of the projector screen all film nights have been postponed until the Autumn

If film night is not for you how about

A walk around parts of the village ?.
We start at the village hall at 10:0 on the first Sunday of the month and after an hours gentle paced walk we end up back at the hall.  There may be some stiles or muddy fields and puddles on the route so stout shoes or wellies are advised.
The added incentive is the fact that bacon rolls and tea/coffee are available for only£2.50 (possibly an extra 50p for an egg as well depending on demand) .
If you just want the breakfast and a chat then let Steph Stockbridge know (steph@stockbridge.me )
She is also trying to get a bridge group together on a Monday afternoon she has a few beginners at the moment but new players are always welcomed no matter what level you are.

Don't forget our coffee mornings are the third Friday of the month at 10:30 - 12:30
to raise funds for the hall and the W.I.
All welcome

One of the ways we are raising funds is through the Holwell 100 club  if you would like further information about this please contact Libby, at  holwellvillagehall@gmail.com  who will be pleased to give you the answer to any queries

So far the winners this year are:
January
Winners - Jane Goodfellow and Gillian Constable
February Winners - Kevin Holt and Celia Antell

Some of our winners have kindly donated their prizes to the hall for which we are very grateful.

For official information we suggest you also look at  Holwell Parish Council and Dorset County Council . This site is to give information about the village hall and future community events.
