We have applied to the Charity Commission to change the structure of the hall charity from a trust to a Charitable Incorporated Organisation which is a new legal form developed by the Charity Commission. Its basic legal framework is set out in the Charities Act 2011. It is a better structure in which to hold and manage the hall’s property as it means the property is held in the name of the CIO itself rather than in the names of individual trustees. A copy of the draft constitution is available here:
We are carrying out some maintenance work at the hall including painting.
If you would like to help, please contact Philip Pigott on 01963 23291.
